Your Rights

Rights Respecting School Council

At St Benedict’s we have a 'Rights Respecting School Council' which consists of members from each year group. These pupils meet regularly to discuss how we embed rights and responsibilities into our everyday life and how our school can help support children in other countries that do not have access to all of the children’s rights.

Our Vision, Values and Aims

'Every child should have the right and the means to fulfil their dreams'

At St. Benedict's Primary School we aim to develop children into:

Successful Learners
who love learning, make progress and achieve.

Confident Individuals
who are able to communicate effectively and live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives.

Responsible and Rights Respecting Citizens
who are open minded, self and socially aware, who have pride in their history and heritage and respect for that of others.

Clubs

Article 15 - You have the right to choose your own friends and join or set up groups, as long as it isn't harmful to others.

Please click here to access our 'School Clubs' page.

Keeping Yourself Safe

Article 39 - You have the right to help if you've been hurt, neglected or badly treated.

It is important that you always know who you can speak to if you don't feel safe. In school you can speak to any adult and they will do all they can to help you.
