St Benedicts's Primary School

Governing Board Vacancies

We currently have vacancies for 3 Governors

2 Parent Governors

There are currently vacancies for two parent governors at St Benedict's Primary School.

The Governing Board of St Benedict’s Primary School currently has two vacancies for Parent Governors and would welcome any of our parents to put their names forward for this post.

Governors currently meet as a full Governing Body 3 times each year, with additional regular committee meetings and/or Working Party meetings throughout each term. Governors are not responsible for the day-to-day management of the school; however, they do have an equally important role within the school.
All we ask initially is that you would be able to attend meetings regularly as a good attendance record will be required and that, when attending meetings, you take an active part by asking questions and making comments.

A good understanding of spoken and written English is important as there will be papers to review before each meeting.
If you would like an informal chat about the role of a Governor please contact either:

Mohammed Zabar  (Chair of Governors) or
Armine Williams (Headteacher) by email at

Alternatively telephone the school to leave your contact details and we will contact you to arrange a date and time to meet with you in school.
