The Government has provided schools with extra funding to help us support our children in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.
We used the premium to:
- Develop and add to the PE and sport activities that we already offer
- Make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years
We did this after reviewing our PE provision and identifying the needs of our children. The school is in the inner city, with limited access to open spaces. We wanted to ensure our children know there is more to the world of sport than playing football or cricket in the local park and to show them a variety of ways to keep healthy.
In addition, we used some of the funding to support our staff in building on their own skills to ensure we help all of the future children coming to our school.
We are sure our children will be fitter than ever!
